Jake Shivery will be showing a whole new selection of work that nobody but Jake himself has seen. Working with his 8x10 Deardorff camera, Jake makes portraits of friends, family, and acquaintances which he then contact prints as lovely silver gelatin fiber artifacts. It has been three years since Jake's last show; these things don't happen frequently. So come see what photographs he has been making in the intervening years and revel in the beauty of 8x10 contact prints.

Contact is our first monograph featuring Portland photographer Jake Shivery’s 8×10 contact portraits captured on his large-format Deardorff camera. Contact is one-half plates and one half extensive essay on Shivery’s photographic beliefs, process, life, and anecdotes.
