One Twelve Publishing and the SE Center for Photography are proud to present a collection of artfully crafted, avant-garde photographic works from 21 artists, straight from the pages of Diffusion, volume IX, curated by Lori Vrba.

Artists included in the exhibition are Addison Brown, Anne Campbell, Ellie Ivanova, Fritz Liedtke, Galina Kurlat, Harland Viney, Heather Perera, James Wigger, Joseph Deiss, Matthew Finley, Melanie and Todd Walker, Michael Kirchoff, Michelle Rogers-Pritzl, Molly McCall, Noelle McCleaf, Ray Bidegain, Sandra Klein, Sara Silks, Susan de Witt, Stacie Ann Smith, and Troy Colby.

About the curator: Lori Vrba's imagery is rooted in themes of memory, illusion, loss, and revival. Her assemblage works combine found objects with original photographs that speak to the southern sensibilities of storytelling. Her solo shows have been met nationally and internationally with great acclaim. Her work is held in permanent as well as private collections throughout the world. Vrba has curated several exhibitions including TRIBE for the Fox Talbot Museum in 2018. Her first monograph published by Daylight was named one of the top ten photo books of 2015 by American Photo Magazine. She is the co-founder of Pigs Fly Retreats and is a member of the founding board of the Click! Photography Festival.

About Diffusion: Diffusion is an independent, reader-supported annual that highlights and celebrates artfully crafted photographic artwork including, but not limited to, handcrafted, alternative process, mixed media, installation, photo as object, avant-garde, experimental, etc. Diffusion strives to spotlight artists pushing the boundaries of traditional photographic processes as well as introducing new and innovative voices in fine art photography.
