Crusade for Collecting
Crusade for Collecting – Let’s Kick It!
As some of you know, I have been working on a BIG idea. Huge, really. And it’s pretty crazy.
To give you a little background, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery shows emerging photography. That means I show work from photographers that are just starting to make a name for themselves. The price point is affordable and the caliber of work is very high.
I have had my gallery for two years, and in thinking about art and artists and collectors, I have realized there is a cultural disconnect between the younger generations and art.
So I can talk about it and write about it and work on building a group of interested, engaged, young collectors in Atlanta. And I am doing those things. But to me, this issue is bigger than Atlanta, and it is important. It is a major reason I created The Ten.
Here comes the BIG idea.
I am going on tour. A crusade. In the spring of 2013 I will be going on a ten week, ten city tour of the US – hawking my wares out the back of a van and talking about buying original art. But to really get it, you must watch this short video. I guarantee you will be amused, and hopefully you will be moved to contribute to my funding goal.
Buckle up – it’s going to be a crazy ride!
