"Photograph in D" T-shirt | L+V & Diffusion

"Why wear a T-shirt when you can have a D-shirt?" ~Laura Moya, Photolucida

The Shirt Design

Conceived and designed by Jeff Louviere based off “Photograph in D” by Louviere + Vanessa which we published in Lemniscate of Diffusion earlier this year. We are using a no ink “discharge” printing process to impress a sense of artistry that coincides with the organic design.

What is the design derived from? “Photograph in D” is one of the images made by creating a frequency on a home made spectrograph representing one of the 12 notes in music. The images were archivally printed on kozo paper. Hand made strechers were built to hold the dibond which was primed and covered in gold leaf. The image was laid down over the gold and flooded with resin. Once dry, the piece is wet sanded to remove all reflections then a second pass of resin and polish was hand applied to specific parts of the piece.

Sizes and Styles are limited. Only 100 shirts printed.
