Hello readers!

My name is Angela and I’ll be joining One Twelve Publishing this summer as a Marketing and Communications intern. I’m currently a student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco pursuing an MFA in Photography. In just a few weeks I’ll be presenting my Final Thesis to a school panel (fingers crossed!). Below are a few images from my project, Passing Embrace, a series of portraits and still lives that express the imperfections and details of every day life.

A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in the Bay Area, California where I also graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in English. I have loved all forms of art and self expressions since I was young, including painting, knitting, and of course, photography. I really developed my passion for photography in my high school film class and even throughout my undergraduate studies, I continued to photograph with a graphic design and photography focused student organization.

As I approach the end of my graduate studies, I’m excited to start a career in the arts, combining my love for literature and writing with my love for photography. This summer I’ll be posting book reviews, press releases, artist profiles and social media campaigns.
